This morning UNION NYC quietly released their first Nike collaboration to the public, the UNION NYC x Nike Dunk Hi Challenge Supreme. As you can see from the name of this Dunk and the colors and patterns used, inspiration came from the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hot Lava colorway. Another interesting note is the heel strap which came from the Nike Vandal, on the strap is the collaborative UNION logo. Only 100 pairs of this Dunk has been made and by the time you read this, they have probably been sold out already. Your best bet at this point is to wait for them to show up on ebay.

Earlier today, we brought you the exclusive on the UNION NYC x Nike Dunk High Challenge Supremesneaker, here’s another exclusive for you from Freshness. Above is the UNION LA x Nike Dunk High Challenge Supreme which also released quietly today at the Los Angeles chapter of Union. While the NYC version was inspired by the Hot Lava Air Tech Challenge, the LA version is also inspired by the ATC but not a specific colorway. Unfortunately for most, they are limited to 100 pairs in each colorway and both are already sold out. Other than the color difference, this LA version features LA emboridered into the heel tab.

Jordan Brand has made a ton of hybrids in addition to releasing a bunch of brightly coloured retroslately. Here’s a departure from that trend: an entirely new design. The Jordan Pro Classic is vaguely similar to the Air Jordan XII with its sweeping side panel stitching, but even that’s a stretch. Two new colours are set to drop on June 1, one in white with black contrasts and another in the classic black and red with cement grey elephant print. Stick with Sneaker News for more pictures as the release approaches.

Is there any chance that a Nike ACG model named after a ninja weapon would not be cool? Probably not. We showed you a look at a brightly colored Ashiko Boot back in February and now we bring you some images of this new grey/red/black colorway. As we mentioned earlier, these boots are named after ninja foot spikes used for climbing and traction, as well as for putting holes in their enemies. While the Ashiko Boot may not be built to kill, it certainly is built for performance, using Flywire technology and a sleek high-cut design to ensure that they are lightweight and comfortable. Not only are they highly functional, but they also look pretty fresh too. Plenty of visible Flywire and a translucent mid-panel are but a few of the nice touches that make the Ashiko far more stylish than your average clunky boot. Look for these to hit stores some time during the Holiday ‘09 season. ViaFootLockerUnlocked.

Last week, we got a good look at the new Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier III. Those were in the ‘primary’ black/white/red colourway, and now we have a pair that emphasizes the Cleveland Cavaliers’ other colours. This new pair is mostly navy blue and white with a little red to fully tie in the Cavs’ uniforms. King James will rock these come playoff time and we expect both pairs in late spring/early summer.

With a ton of Air Jordan 1s already revealed or pictured in new views here on Sneaker News today, Jordan Brand keeps on rolling with the shoe that started this whole game. This time, it’s the two newest iterations of the iconic AJ1: the Air Jordan 1 Strap and the Air Jordan 1 Premier. Each type sees two new styles. The AJ1 Strap pairs are both done in canvas, with the Swoosh featuring ragged edges. One rocks a Denver Nuggets-like colourway of black, university blue, white and yellow, while the other keeps the white and favors navy blue and varsity red for an All-American feel.
Meanwhile, the Premium-equivalent Premier pairs live up to their name with lush treatments. One pair is a shiny affair in white and metallic platinum, featuring woven side panels and toes. This theme is also repeated on a velcro-equipped Low. The other High features a lush marbled suede upper quite similar to a beautiful pack of Supras that dropped this week, along with a tonal canvas Swoosh and navy blue accents. All four pairs of these are quite impressive, so the only reason not to get any of them might be that you can’t afford them all. Check the release dates, prices and style numbers after the jump, then save up and keep it locked to Sneaker News.

There’s little chance the timing on the previous leaks was coincidental, but who needs coincidence when your design is this good? For the third time in a week, we’ve received a clearer picture of what the Defining Moments Pack II (DMP2) Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’ edition looks like. Red suede with tonal stitching looks dope on the upper, but it’s actually a bit darker in person. Imagine something closer to the red Air Jordan XXI. A new twist we’ve not seen on AJ5s, the red-tipped teeth inspired by WWII-era Mustang fighter planes pay homage to the similarly hewn Chicago Bulls logo. These pictures speak for themselves, so click the jump and let us know what you think. via Shoes Carnival//NT

The Jordan Dub Zero set the Jordan hybrid program into motion when it was released and now a few new colorways have been popping up lately to find themselves right at home in this current age of Fusion madness. If you thought the recently previewed black/laser blue and black/maize versions were looking good, get a load of these black and red beauties. Aside from the obvious color differences, what separates this shoe from the other new Dub Zero models is the black on black laser graphics and there’s something about that Chicago Bulls color scheme on a Jordan shoe that just always looks so right. You can pick up a pair now at MarqueeSole with more colorways on the way this summer. via nicekicks.
